Messi - Traditional Illustration

Project Description My illustration is dedicated to football and sports enthusiasts of all ages who want to enjoy a good laugh at a football satire. Football is a cultural phenomenon that's present in almost all countries around the world. Most people know the dramas surrounding football players, most of which are created by the fans themselves. For this project, I chose the best player in the history of the sport, and one of the most famous people in the world, to create a satire. The concept of "deity" around Messi is not new, and many people take it with humor, while others take it a little more seriously. Therefore, I believe that a satire about Messi and his deity is an excellent way to pay tribute to the greatest football player of all time and have a good laugh at the same time. For this reason, this illustration was made based on watercolors and metallic markers that together represent the colors of the Argentine flag and FC Barcelona to give it that mosaic feeling found in any church.
